In some scenarios additional customised auxiliary appliances or different orthodontic brace systems may be required to aid in straightening the teeth, altering the shape of a jaw bone in a growing child or adolescent or to correct a bite problem.
There are a large variety of customised brace systems with a range of applications depending on the clinical problem which each individual patient might present with. Adequate knowledge and clinical skill is an important factor in being able to offer individualised treatment tailored to each patients unique needs. As a consultant specialist Dr. O’ Connor will be able to advise upon and provide the most suitable care using any manner of custom brace system which will be most appropriate.
